Alice In Borderland Season 1 Episode No 6 Review And Recap

Alice In Borderland Season 1

Episode No 6 Recap And Review

The Hatter begins episode 6 of Alice on the Frontier by promising to create a utopia on the beach while talking to Aguni. This is, of course, a flashback to when we return to the present and see the Hat sitting at his desk, keeping a bunch of playing cards in his box.

Starving after a hard night of fun, Arisu is woken up by Usagi, who tells her that the Hatter is welcome. Therefore, he must use this newfound power to his advantage and gather as much information as possible from those at the Beach resort.

Along the way, he hears many different theories, each as depressing as the next about who the game master is and what they're all doing there.

Seeing that this place is a utopia, Arisu and Usagi refuse to be seduced by this place, discovering the ugly truth of what is hidden from everyone.

Taking Arisu to the roof, the pair both comment on how much information she has collected and want to know what she is planning. For Arisu, it's simple – she wants to survive and find out exactly who or what is behind the games. Currently, he is only surviving for Usagi and revenge for his friends.

It turns out that Kuina and Chishiya are planning their own coup and ask Arisu if she wants to join them in changing the status quo. Both of them are smart enough to realize that the militants will take over soon - it's just a matter of when, not when. When they take down the Hatter, Chishiya steals the cards and makes a break for it.

Before that, Arisu and Chishiya are brought before the Hatter, who is unconscious in his room after being shot in the chest. The Hatter has failed to clean up his game and all clues point to Aguni and his thugs being responsible.

As Aguni takes his place at the head of the table, Chishiya gathers the troops ready to carry out his plans. While Aguni gives a speech to the others in the main atrium, Chishiya remains on guard duty while Arisu tries to open the safe.

Unfortunately, the combination fails and as he turns around, Arisu faces Aguni's thugs and Chishiya, who seems to have betrayed them all.

While both Usagi and Arisu are captured, Arisu is forced into a dark, dirty room and tied to a chair. Meanwhile, Usagi finds herself in a desperate situation and Niragi tries to force himself on her.

As both of our heroes present the picture, Kuina and Chishiya put their plan into action and find the safe hidden behind the deer picture on the wall. It turns out that the safe Arisu found was just a trick and they used him as bait.

Chishiya manages to find the cards and Kuina stands outside the gate for guard duty as she prepares to fly. As she walks out the door, Kuina has second thoughts and feels bad for Arisu.

Unfortunately, this is the least of their worries as a strange laser field appears around the Paradise Hotel. A new game is about to start and it's for 10 heart cards.

As all the players gather in the lobby, a girl named Momoka lies on her back with a knife through her heart. The game they will be playing is "Witch Hunt" and all the men and women inside must find and burn whoever is responsible for Momoka's death.

 Episode Review

This time with a shorter episode, Alice In Borderland focuses more on the kids at the hotel and their plan to take down the Hatter. For some time, the sound of gunshots in his chest indicates that it is someone from within the walls. It's clear that Aguni and the others are involved, but was this a premeditated murder or something else?

The idea of the game suddenly changing and adding a new battle arena inside the hotel is good, and it has implications of Among Us as the kids have to try to figure out who is responsible for Momoka's death. Who will they choose? Given that this is a game of hearts, it won't be easy, and I would imagine we could witness an innocent bystander get killed for it. Until next time…
